Here’s 9 Tips To Healthier Eating Habits:
1. Eat a well-rounded breakfast
Not only is breakfast the “most important meal of the day” because it helps to fuel the body and brain, it also helps you to eat fewer calories later in the day and maintain a healthy weight!
2. Eat vegetables and fruits at least twice a day.
Fruits and veggies are naturally low in calories and may reduce the risk of many diseases, including heart disease, high blood pressure, and some cancers.
3. Eat healthy fats
Adding naturally unsaturated fats to your diet can improve blood cholesterol levels, lower your risk of heart disease, and benefit insulin levels and blood sugar.
4. Eat legumes, whole grains, seeds and dried fruits
Beans, grains, seeds, and dried fruits contain a lot of soluble fiber, protein, carbohydrates, folate, and iron, all of which are fundamental elements to add to ones diet.
5. Eat meat and fish, but no more than five times a week.
6. Drink water
Of course, we all know the ultra-importance of maintaining water in your diet. But, did you know that water can help to cleanse the skin and eliminate toxins. Just two more reasons to keep up with your H2O!
7. Avoid sugary drinks
8. Do not consume an abundance of eggs
Although good for you in small amounts, eggs contain a high content of fat. Always good to be cautious of additional fat sources in your diet!
